   Profile:

    Tom Cottrell is a creative, reliable, fast and hands on professional editor, with a good sense
    of timing and pace he knows how to solve many problems strategically.
    Tom has a wealth of experiance in final cut pro and avid film and video offline editing.
    His range of editorial diversity includes documentaries, commercials, brand films, drama,
    corporate and music videos.
    Being passionate about music and sound he has a well grounded concept of sound design and sound editing.
    He's good at suggesting ideas, making stories work, understanding and working to well written briefs, scripts,
    and ideas, that he's able to guide clients and film makers through the editorial process.
    He also has a strong understanding of motion titles and graphics design.

   Autobiography:
    I started by making a film at school editing on tape to tape umatics.
    I got a job as a studio runner sweeping the set floor inbetween art college.
    Along with other things they inspired me to pursue editng professionally.
    I became an assistant editor to JD Smyth learning avid at
    RSA (Ridley & Tony Scott's production company in London England) for a year.
    I then moved to Minno Film Editors where I assisted and worked up to a junior editor for three years.
    I then moved to LA for six months where I carried on editing and developed my final cut pro skills.
    I am now freelance working and living in London on projects of all calibers.
